Yes this worries me too. However, Director has survived many "death of
director" statements, so I think we must stop accusing Death for changes
to Director.
I assume Lingo-syntax and ECMA-syntax will coexist for a long time, just
like dot syntax Lingo and old-school Lingo has done for years. I also
think it's a good thing that Lingo finally will have ECMA syntax.
Regarding 3D I believe MM is wise enough not to drop 3D, but rather
migrate to another 3D engine, hopefully without breaking existing 3D Lingo
code. I just hope Havok will still be a partner. I checked their site
recently and the Havok Xtra developers section was moved to their
oldsite... Hm...
MUS is more troublesome since MM has decided to replace it with FlashComm
with no UDP support. Also, MUS is a much more simple app to install and
distribute. I just hope UDP will be added to FlashComm.
