audio fix 2004-06-17 - By Rob Wuijster
Back Check in your control panel for the audiodevices if your live card is set as default/preferred device. This might be it. I also remember a couple of threads about this a couple of months ago. This stuff also happened with modems and soundcards when using v2.
Found this for you from an old post: http://www.highend3d.com/boards/showthreaded.php?Cat=1,3&Board=xsigenera l&Number=94591&page=&view=&sb=&o=
Hope this helps,

Hi I just got a new pc, but it came with two sound cards,,, one onboard and a live 5.1. I only installed the live and disabled the onboard sound in the bios, but when i installed XSI it gave me the old audio error at the startup and carried on in audio null mode. How do i force xsi to see and use the live card.. hope this makes sence... Gerbrand
