Hello,
I published the final version of my Xgs_Slate tool for Win32 on XSI Net : http: //www.softimage.com/xsinet/ ( look under "add-ons" ).
The archive also contains the project source code ( see 040616_Xgs_Slate _Project.zip ).
Installation :
* download archive ( 040515_Xgs_Slate_All.zip ) * extract "040616_Xgs_Slate.xsiaddon" * launch XSI 4.0 * install the Addon ( User, Factory, Workgroup, as you wish ) * open a Scene Explorer : you can see a "Xgs_Slate" custom property on the scene root * open the Xgs_Slate custom property page * enable the "Active" toggle : you should see information displayed in the 3D views
Notes :
* all parameters are animatable so you can control what information gets shown when during a sequence * the default bitmap name is "Xgs_Slate.bmp" and is stored in same location as the DLL * you can select any 32 bits ( RGBA ) bitmap image encoded in .BMP format ( use browser ) * the bitmap image covers the whole view and its Alpha channel is used to reveal geometry drawn underneat * the "Xgs_Slate" property on the scene root is automatically re-created if deleted manually ( comes back inactive by default ) * information is displayed for any view using a perspective camera
Enjoy !
