Vector paint updated 2004-06-16 - By Bernard Lebel
Back Salut Christian,
Actually I suggested to Softimage that it would be better to have the 3d paint tool further developed to support 3d painting and 2d painting rather than having one tool to paint weight maps and one tool to paint fxtree clips, and of course getting rid of the image clip viewer. That would be a good step to properly integrate the fxtree in XSI, as it would also bring more of its funcitonalities into the 3d workflow. Can you imagine? Being to paint with one single tool in any type of view: 3d viewport, clip property page, texture editor, fxviewer, weight maps, vectors, and so on.
But it seem not possible at this moment and I don't believe we'll see that anytime soon.
Cheers Bernard
