Back I've got a shader tree from the soft website (waterblob.Preset) to make the particle blobshader reflective and refractive. It worked in 3 although it was unfeasably slow. In 4 it renders "something" and then crashes. I'm not talking production-level numbers of particles, i'm talking maybe a dozen. Seeing as the black art of xsi particle "shading and rendering" is pretty much untouched in the documentation especially with regard to raytracing i was wondering if any one had alternative suggestions for the render-tree od said blobshader?
or should i have learnt my lesson and not gone anywhere near xsi particles....
