Probably not, at least not if you're saying you want to point the workgroup
to the factory path or install. Create a folder somewhere universally
visible on your network and point all your machines to that one.  Workgroups
can now have multiple paths, semicolon separated.

Subject: v4 Workgroup setup

Hi all, with v4 I want to finally get a workgroup set up properly.  I just
wanted to clear up a few things...

I will point every machine's workgroup path to \\server\Softimage\XSI_4.0
where the real local path on the server would be c:\Softimage\XSI_4.0 and
the Softimage folder (and all below) are shared - is this correct?  Does it
have to be the XSI location on the server or can this be any generic folder
I create for myself so long as it's shared?  Does XSI even have to be
installed?

Initial tests with this method cause XSI to hang on startup...

I have RTFM, but details are a little slim....

Thanks,

DAN
