Map Files Not Helping 2004-06-09 - By Ben Kilgore
Back I'll note here that using nonlocal .map files on a network render won't cause just a lot of traffic, but absolute inability to render (crashes). Perhaps not in all situations, but certainly in the instances I have seen. I believe this limitation is detailed in the docs.
