XSI on a brand new laptop without COM port ? 2004-06-08 - By kim aldis
Back There are a couple of issues with usb dongles. They're not fully hot-swapable so if you remove one, you'll need to restart the license server when you replace it, and the server dies on hibernation. Again, you'll have to restart. That said, they're smaller, neater, nicer. I never really liked the serial adapter cable hanging off the back. I'm happy with it.
