Mental ray 3.3 has been incredibly faster in our tests (not using reflections
and glossy) but opengl acceleration, fine displacement and motion blur all
together.
We say jumps from 40 minutes a frame to 5 min. a frame.
so yes, is a massive increasse in speed.
:-)
I feel we should be completely fair with it, mental images has been doing an
*exceptional* work with its renderer.
