Cloth / particles question 2004-06-07 - By Olivier jeannel
Back I love cloth in 3.5 :)
I would like to make some kind of flower-petal rain (Maped hemisphere), and when the petal hits some colision object it bounce and deform a bit. I've tried with some instanced particles, but the cloth doesn't seems to work. It sounds normal IMHO, because of the nature of instance.
I've tried to attach one hemisphere to one particle (cluster constraint), apply cloth (or softbody) and set obstacle. But with no luck. Either it bounce away from the constraining particle, or it isn't affected at all by the collision object.
I was wondering if there was some kind of method to do this... <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=iso-8859 (See http://iso-8859.ora-code.com)-1"> <META content="MSHTML 6.00.2800.1106" name=GENERATOR> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=#e9ede3> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I love cloth in 3.5 :)</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I would like to make some kind of flower-petal rain (Maped hemisphere), and when the petal hits some colision object it bounce and deform a bit.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I've tried with some instanced particles, but the cloth doesn't seems to work.
