Back Hi XSI pros,
You know when you know what to do and it won't work? That is even more frustrating than being stuck because you don't know what to do.
I am modelling character, all poly meshes. Build with a number of primitives which have been scaled and translated and so forth to fit the proportions needed. So let's say I need to attach an arm to the torso. There is a slight gap between the two. I am trying to do so with Blend and Merge. Nothing of it works, I wonder if it is the tolerance (I have tried with everything from insanely high to almost non-existing)? I have also tried deleting the polys, that would end up being inside the new mesh. I heard somewhere that merge or blend need openings to work with. Nothing works.
Please help!
I guess the last way out is a boolean, but I'd rather not. This is such a fundamental modelling operation. If this was Max it would have been over and done with in less than 2 parsec.
