In my last post I should have specified that I usually don't run XSI on
dual screens. My second monitor is quite small and I use it solely to
write code and run my browser.

The rare occasion that I use XSI on both monitors is for shading and I
embed the ppg in the layout. Especially with 4.0 and relational views.

In 4.0 you can snap XSI to single screen and "most" of the dialogs will
appear on the 1 screen. The only exception that I have found to that is
the render view window. The render/preview view window will snap between
both monitors regardless if XSI is running in single or dual mode in a
dual screen setup.
