No, I tore my hair out over this and ended up using cloth with a thickness.
This kinda works but means you lose out on some of the good qualities of the
softbodies.
Might be worth trying in your case tho?

Has anyone had any success with making a soft body react like clay where it
holds it's form when it collides with a collision object or when it's
depressed by a collision object?
