How to install XSI addons with another user

How to install XSI addons with another user

But every user has to set the workgroup path in its preferences...
And I would not use that for render slaves, gives you more trouble than
installing it one by one.

personally, I'd set up a workgroup that all your users can see, instal
there and point all your users to it as a workgroup. The factory path
would work but you'd need to re-install every time you upgraded or
re-installed Xsi. You'd also need to isntall on each and every machine
but the workgroup would mean only the one install.

Try Factory install. This gives access to all users to the add-on.
However you still need administrator privileges to install the add-on.

Cheers

Subject: How to install XSI addons with another user

I want to install an addon under another user when I'm logged on as
administrator using the fallowing command:

   xsi -i abc.xsiaddon -silent -overwrite

How can I define another user destination? The problem is that the
current user who should use the addon doesn't have the windows rights to
install it.

Any ideas?
