CPU at 50% during render

CPU at 50% during render

As far as I know, XSI is a 32bit application. Thus it can't use more than the
default 2Gig of RAm, minus the RAM your system takes...

The 50% cpu usgae may be due to scene tesselation (prior to actual rendering)
or poorly set environnement variable telling your system only has one CPU.

I am running 4GB of memory, and it looks like its only using 1.5. Both CPU's
are running at 50%. My photon usage is not extreme, but my scene is rather huge
. Is there a way to combat this?

No simulation stuff, lots of photon stuff. Dual CPU's and the
works. Its actually a pretty basic scene, just real large-
