Filebrowser with short and stupid memory!?

Filebrowser with short and stupid memory!?

Is it just me, or is it really so that when using the filebrowser in the Render
PPG to specify where rendered images go, the system remembers a filepath from
the previous session which was a different project (working on several here)?

If I have an absolute filepath, I'd expect the filebrowser to open that
location thus quickly allowing me to enter a new location nearby. Instead it
opens a different absolute location which I used in a previous session. Is
there a setting I need to do or what?

- bit frustrated here, editing several passes output paths >:\
