Back I experience this across hardware, which is why I live with it.

865PE Intel chipset on an MSI board-p4 2.4 2 gigs of pc3200DDR Also dual xeon 1.8 with 1 gig ram Also dual xeon 3.02 with 1 gig ram

no, no, and no
> Which GFX Driver?
3dlabs Wildcat vp970 drivers version 3.1.392.0 also Nvidia Quadro4 Based XGL 900 - unknown (at the moment) driver
> XP version?
XP Professional, all service packs also 2000 Professional, all service packs
