As far as I know there is no registry hack, but you can  edit the boot.ini.
There is some kind of good description at eyeonline (the DF people) on how to
change that file., ro have Windows use more memory:

http://www.eyeonline.com/Web/EyeonWeb/Support/TechFAQ.aspx

Hope this helps

From an older xsibase post of mine:

Just a little addition to help you fully using the 3gigs of ram you
got. I also had this problem with several 32bit apps on windows, like
AE,DF and XSIas well. They became pretty instable when you got near the
theoretical limit of 2gigs/app (i would say above 1.5g it can be
critical). If you`re using XP professional, there is a /3gb switch you
can add to the boot.ini file to help fully use up to 2gigs of ram. For
me, this solved all the related instability issues.

Be aware, that you have to apply a patch for machines with sp1 already
installed, otherwise they`re not able to boot with the /3bg switch
applied. What we also experienced was that our machine was not always
able to boot up with this switch with a Matrox Digisuite LE card
installed (and in general framebuffer cards), but this told to be solved
with sp1.
