Cinema4D has a tiny user-base, so community support and plug-ins are thin on
the ground. I'd avoid it, if at all possible.

I don't know about Argon, but on the mac (or pc) I totally prefer Cinema4d.
I think from a user interface standpoint nothing beats it; especially if
you're coming from a non-3 (See http://non-3.ora-code.com)d, or artistic approach. On the other end - worse
interface definitely goes to Lightwave...
