Back Interesting - I saw this too once I went looking for it. I used .ct and attributed the "no float tiff" to the same reason that I get no previews in the FX Tree Viewer ... that sumpthin' was a-broke.
Kim - We light stuff correctly for the stuff we do but lately I've been on this kick of experimenting with light energy in scenes for my own edification. For instance, take that attachment I made - I think it's a technically beautiful thing when a 50% reflection of a totally blown-out surface is reflected as not 50% grey but as the lower-exposure equivalent of the surface without the blowout. I just discovered the use of color beyond the value of 1 when making Constant surfaces for light sources - almost like light temperature ... a very blown out white that doesn't go through GREY to get to no-light but through the color specified. It's all basically a big exercise in experimentation.
While I'm here - anyone know what would keep my FX Viewer from showing the preview of effects applied to images?
Thanks, everyone.
