third party stuff 2004-05-05 - By Raffaele "ThE_JacO" Fragapane
Back I have to agree. While we all love fire&forget tools if we keep getting stuff patched in, it's matter of months before you end up with a situation like max', where sometimes you spend days unloading and reloading pluggies just to find out what was killing your app.
Strong backends are the way to go, and once you have them users like Reinhard, Helge, Guy, Graham etc. will surely provide free front-ends for the fancy tricks.

I'd rather see a fully native L-systems in XSI for use in all areas of XSI, instead of a specific tree and plant maker. But of course both a fully integrated L-system and 3rd party tree/plantmaker would be ideal to get both needs to their respective goals. -- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- -- http://www.grahamdclark.com 2nd hand TD
