Inside the renderer all the lighting information is there, but once it gets
written to a bitmap image, it gets clipped.
Best approach is to set up your lighting to use as much of the dynamic range
as possible without clipping, and then tweak it in post.

So: light it properly, you ll never get the lost information out of the
image file.
