Render Options PPG 2004-05-04 - By Chris Marshall
Back Is it something to do with your machine having a maped network drive, and your re-instalation of windows? We had some network issues a while back and XSI spent ages opening up certain ppg's (mostly the render options). Basically it was going off trying to find stuff that wasn't mapped correctly, so when we remapped the drives, hay-presto, super fast again. Just a thought. Chris

Argh. I'm desperately searching for a solution to this problem...unfortunately, my Render Pictures directory is clear, so I don't think that is the problem...here's a post I made to CGTalk that didn't get much attention...
"For some odd reason, opening the Render Options floating editor REALLY bogs down XSI 3.5.1. I don't have a render region up and I'm not even fiddling with the settings (that REALLY slows things down).
This is really bizzare...and it only started doing it after reinstalling Windows XP Pro and XSI. Everything else works quite well."
