Back I made a plugin to do just that... well, it's actually a plugin to convert local animation to global animation and then back, to change parents without losing the global animation on an object... you could hack it in half and just keep the bits to transform the global animation into local one... it's a little ugly though as it uses the plot function to transfer the animation, but with mocap and RBDs from RealFlow it might not make any difference as the curves may have a keyframe every frame...
Let me know if you're interested and I can mail it to you, I might even be able to do a quick hack of it for you... :) -- -- Original Message -- -- From: Oz Adi To: XSI@(protected) Sent: Monday, May 03, 2004 8:06 PM Subject: transfering Golbal animation to Local
Hi,
I've made a rigid body dynamic scene using Real Flow, and imported it back into XSI, the problem is that real flow exports the animation in Global mode, so I cant really move the animation in space..
I tried puting a model node ontop, but that doesnt help..
is there any trick of transfering the global key to a local mode? or a way to move global animation in space without moving the curves on Y? I got over 250 objects with animation, each has position and rotation curves. ..
desperate...
