Back Yes I have... Since as far back as 2.01. At least I have a similar problem when I have several passes set up where there are differences between the primary ray visibility settings.
The solution I use is to put an override on every partition to control the visibility of primary rays, whether it actually needs one or not. this way when the pass switches you can be 100% sure that the things which are supposed to be visible are and vice versa.
Is anyone at Softimage aware of this little bug? Is it actually a bug?
