transition shapes

transition shapes

You're probably right Dave, it's not as automated, but ultimately you get
all the control you need.  For example, to go from A to B via C you may not
want the transition shape to be 100% C, rather 25% A 15% B and 60% C.

Anyway, hope this hels.

Ok. So you make the shapes as normal, then make a custom PPG to control
them.
Instead of dragging the shape weights onto it, you set up a custom
relationship
(like maya's SetDriven Keys) where the same slider drives two or more shapes
in
sequence. Hmmm. Makes sense, if not quite as automated. Thanks Andre.

When you dial in shape A to near full strength, then dial in a quite
different
shape B to near full strength, instead of getting mush, you custom make a
combination shape. I imagine it was just one huge expression determining
which
blendshape it gave you at any time.

There were something like 900 shapes, most of them correction shapes.
