UVs not being preserved...

thanks guys.

well i exported the model and UVs only to max  using .obj everything is fine
that direction. so then i have been doing my work in max and needed to
return to XSI, but exporting using .obj .3ds and .xsi all didn't perserve
UVs. well it doens't matter now cause i sucked it up and used max's texture
editor. i am working on a game project, using open source tools, which are
plugins for MAX so thats the good reason. it hurts but i use XSI to its
fullest before trying to use max, thats why i needed to get back into XSI. i
didn't realize i needed to "cut" the model into pieces for game engine. well
i needed to tweak the UVs just a tad, and didn't wanna use max's TE. so this
is where i ran into the problem. all is well now. but i make sure i stick to
.xsi and use v3.0 output for tris :)

ooh yeah, when saving progress in max, should i export it .xsi? or can i
save it natively and then export .xsi if i need to return to XSI?

thanks in advance
