Edit>Operator>Substitute Input should work here in case you want to
replace your current curve with a completely new one. The command is
used on the curve; every operator using it as an input will get the new
curve as a replacement. I always found this global approach a bit
limiting. The command would be more usefull if it would work the other
way around...
