realflow and XSI

realflow and XSI

I have created various types of liquid anims and the process from XSI to
RealFlow and back works nicely.

You can get a scene setup and simulations running quite easily. Tweaking, is
another longer story.

Unfortunately, NextLimit does not have many rescources as to what parameters
will give you what type of liquid behaviour.
Be prepared to dedicate a machine to run the simulations a few times until
you get the desired result.
Also the meshes can get pretty heavy since there is one created per frame.
It can get close to 30MB/mesh/frame (depending on LOD) quickly so disk space
is a must!

At the end of the day though, you can put together some pretty wild and
'hydrodynamically-correct' anims.

Allo! From the users out there, do you recommend realflow with XSI? Do you
find it easy to integrate XSI and realflow together?
We need to get a few jobs done with simulations (fluids), any
recommendations?

Thanks!

Martin
