Back Hey Henry, You can thank Soft since it's their vision :) What do you mean by the LCD introduced by MainWin? /Will

Hi Will, Thanks for the reassurances. I like your model vision and hope you can overcome the LCD introduced by the MainWin software component. Pls let me know if I can help test out any distros.
Cheers, Henry

Hi Henry, We are working towards certifying RH9.0, Fedora, and RH Enterprise by the time v4 ships barring any unforeseen issues with the OS or graphics. We are also working on trying to move LINUX certification towards a model where we certify kernel versions/glibc/xfree versions/WM's and people would be able to pick their distro of choice as long as it was within these parameters thus not tying them to a specific distro for XSI. Hope this helps /Will

Folks, As you may know RHL support will be coming to a close at the end of this month. See here <http://www.redhat.com/solutions/business/migration/> if you don't. I see nothing whatsoever on Soft's O/S <http://www.softimage.com/Support/Xsi /SystemRequirements/3.5x/Linux.htm> support page hinting at this imminent vacuum. As Soft doesn't support Linux directly and we are all aware that they do not quickly write to the latest version of the Linux O/S, is there not any concern and/or migration discussion ongoing?
