Not intentionally, Avid support is walking me through it right now It is really bizarre I drag a connection to the matte channels and the foreground and background connections connect

Has anyone ever come across a problem where you cannot drag the output (red triangle) to the input (green triangle) it isn't working for me right now and for the life of me I cannot figure out why. Any ideas? I have opened a new fxtree and tried editing an old one. On the old when I try to connect an output on event A my cursor highlights the output on event D which is in another part of the tree, really weird
