Subject: Alpha Texture Map:How to? 2004-03-30 - By Chad Kendall
Back Select what ever you want OPAQUE or select whatever you want TRANSPARENT (this is normally easier) and inverse.
Whichever way you want to end with the opaque part selected. Go to Select - Save Selection. This will create an alpha channel. Make sure you are using a format that supports alpha channels as well - targa, tif, rgb, etc.
Hope this helps.
