3ds 2004-04-23 - By Ed Harriss
Back I am not kidding. I just opened up 3.5.1. Under File>Import> there is a 3ds option. It is a the very bottom of the menu. Is this not in your install?

i dont see any .3ds import possibilities under file>import. and never heard that you can import directly scenes from another program, do you probably mean dotxsi?
