Object dissappearing in render

Object dissappearing in render

I have this object that suddenly decides to not render, with the following
message:
'INFO : "GAPP 0.3 warn 092037: triangulation of polygon list from object sphere
_irregular2_PolyMesh_disp_982 failed"

It is a simple polygonal object which is displaced and subdivided twice at
rendertime.

I often get this when SubDeeing an object, but if I go to OGL zero it usually
becomes renderable again, while keeping the Render Level where I want it.

Could someone shed some light on what is happening and does anyone have ideas
on how to fix this or should I stick with my workaround till 4.0 is out?

Best Regards
