Hey Denis,

we need the same thing here actually. We did in the past a growing tree in
XSI 3.01 based on a X-Frog model.
To let a tree grow in X-Frog and import it with leaves gave some hard
problems in X-Frog and XSI we couldn't solve.

So my 3d agent decided another way to import a flexible and changeable
X-Frog model by scripting and other techniques.
This took a while. It's a several weeks project. Just to let you know.

We will start again with some R&D to find out if XSI 3.511 will handle the
X-Frog models without crashes.
And we have to find out if X-Frog is really able to animate a growing of a
complex tree. I'm not sure.

Let's share the knowlegde.

Yours,
President

Hi folks

I'm looking for a solution for growing plants in 3D. I've taken a look at
xfrog, but it's ony available for cinema 4d it seems. Does anybody know of
anything similar that would work with XSI or as a stand alone?

Of course any useful tips or pointers on how to do this 'naked' in XSI would
be great!

cheers!
