Subject: Aim vertex normal script?

About a year ago some kind soul sent me three mel scripts they had written
that all dealt with aiming, averaging and generally manipulating vertex
normals. I found these very useful at the time but now I need them again
and I'm not working at the place the person originally sent me the scripts
and I wasn't able to back them up.
Is that person still around on the list? Sorry but I can't remember the
name at all.

The script I specifically need at the moment is one that points the normal
of a selected vertex face to another selected object or item.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Bliz::..
