This is my very personal opinion, I understand the intention, but I don't
think disinformation about competition is a marketing approach that will
benefit SI or anyone using it. I think many XSI-Maya users feel like they
are treated unfairly.
It looks like SI is trying to kick Maya's butt (it's been looking like that
since v3). I think there are other products out there that have much better
features than Maya and XSI, but the focus on Maya, the way it is being
handled, looks terrible. Showing cool videos about new features and tricks
is really the way to go. Users are not naive. When I'm told things like
"unparalled power" and "massive performance improvements" and "new paradigm
in 3D production", I tend to close my mind rather than open it.

Again this is very personal.
