I found it quite amusing and it actually gave me the chance to joke with
some friends, and I think it was actually done in a half humorous way.
I have to agree tho that outside our small community (list/SI diehards and
friends) it will deliver a completely wrong message.

For how much it amuses me and I'd love to see it sticking forever I have to
agree, it has to go or be done better, but comparative marketing is a
dangerous game to play, and it's totally out of line from Montreal's laid
back style, it sounds more like one of those arrogant ad politics from
2001's Alias.

Subject: RE: the XSI vs Maya page @ softimage.com

To me it seemed like someone making the web page woke up and noticed Maya
6.0 announcement and quickly came up with a list putting down Maya without
putting much thought into what they wrote.

Sorry, I think we should be over the Maya vs. XSI debate. It's just like my
Mac is better than your PC arguments. I think it's time that the simple,
dirty, put-down Maya marketing is dropped from SI.
