MT extrude along normal question

MT extrude along normal question

2004-04-19       - By Susumu Yukuhiro

 Back
Sorry for posting something unrelated to 4.0!

I am totally new to XSI and trying to figure out things right now.
I just recently got MT tools and I was wondering if I could use the extrude
along normal tool
more than once on the same polygon or not.
I tried it and second time I apply on the same one, it extrude very different
from the last one.
Is this a normal behavior or is there any workaround for this??

Thanks,

Susumu

That's cool. With the Avid Xpress Pro you can preview 3D effects, titles, 1:1
video all without rendering so I assume it give you a pretty realistic
representation of what your final output will look like from XSI right on a
NTSC monitor. You should be able to print directly to tape right from XSI if
the Mojo is hooked up?

XSI 4.0 uses Avid Mojo or Avid Adrenaline hardware
to display the output of 3D viewports or fxtree onto the
TV monitor.

Subject: Any more detail on the XSI Mojo connection
Does anyone have any info on the Mojo connection for XSI

Integrated support for Avid Mojo(tm) output allows you to examine any view,
render region, or animation directly on an external monitor using direct render
and output to external devices

We have an Avid Mojo accelerator here and if it works with XSI the way it works
with Xpress pro that would be very cool....more info please, performance,
features, machine specs, etc

Now I'm excited! When? When? When? Will they be demoing XSI Mojo at NAB?

John
