Hello list
I am working on a project that uses the game engine NeL www.nervax.org...
they have a special NeL material and they have wrote an export or plugin for MAX. I was wondering how difficult it would be to make that plugin/exporter available to XSI. I am a absolute beginner when it comes to programming and a novice in scripting for XSI. so all i am doing is asking for now is opinions.. doable yes.. but am i going to spend a year on this and become absolutely unproductive to my actual job as 3d artist on the team?
i was thinking maybe just forget about MAXscript and just make the plugin for XSI. i have been told by someone using the NeL code that someone wrote a python version of this NeL material, but for blender. would that be a step in the right direction?
any and all information anyone could provide would greatly be appreciated
thanks
