Back Hi,
There is one main serious flaw in the Arete port to XSI.
The geometry animations - Wave swells, ripples and wakes don't update when rendering.
You could try plotting shapes.
For flat water/oceans the Shader still looks great.
With a bit of tinkering in the rendertree you can extract the black and white bump information from the shader which you can then render out as a texture map & then reapply onto UV surfaces.
