rigging a Chinese dragon? 2004-04-15 - By Brad Abrahams
Back Hey everyone,
I will be creating a rig that will roughly follow the shape and structure of a Chinese dragon (as seen in parades and kites), and which will move like one as well. I was wondering if anyone had any initial suggestions. The limbs do not have to be overly articulated, nor does will the rig be very complex. I would like it to have some sort of soft constraints/simulation for the flowing motion of the body limbs tail and hairs.
I'd appreciate any input, Brad Abrahams <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=iso-8859 (See http://iso-8859.ora-code.com)-1"> <META content="MSHTML 6.00.2800.1400" name=GENERATOR> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=#ffffff> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Hey everyone, </FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I will be creating a rig that will roughly follow the shape and structure of a Chinese dragon (as seen in parades and kites), and which will move like one as well.
