Subject: Adding textures 2003-12-17 - By Aleksandar Stiglic
Back Many ways of doing this. Like blendcolors you can blend two different colors again and again, or transparency or anything. Or you can use layers. Or layer shaders. Check the manuals for few more explanations on this... Also download materials from highend, and experiment with disconecting and conecting to see what they do. This is great way to learn. Very cool shader is a porcelan jug (if I remember well). Hope this helps

I am getting great textures mapping 2D digital photos through the color attribute, but would like to create additional layers to create more complex textures. What I don't understand is how to create transparency so you can blend multiple textures. Is there a good tutorial on this, or is it a simple process that is eluding me? > > TIA > > -Peter C. >
