XSI and mobility radeon 9600 2004-04-12 - By Thomas Shaw
Back I wish that either Softimage or ATI would say something on this topic; it is holding up my decision to purchase XSI! That's not good for business. The problem being that I convinced my better half to spring for the price of XSI (student version), there is no way I can convince him to tack on an a new graphics cad as well since I just got the Radeon card in January...
You'd think that with ATI being in bed with the HALFLIFE2 people and the new HL2 XSI, they must be aware of the radeon issues.
Anyway, I'm rambling now. Just frustrated.

My tries to change to the firegl drivers fail as well. This problem is really frustrating and well known, but I can get no response from ATI on the topic.

Hi guys. I'm currently working on a laptop with a mobility radeon 9600 and I've experienced some open gl bugs, specially with the raycast selections. May be some of you have been working on similar computers and/or graphics hardware and could tell me what kind of drivers/patches should I use to solve these disturbing problems. I know that it's possible to patch the drivers to make beleive my os that it has a Mobility fireGl T2 in board but my tries didn't succeed.
Thanks
PS: Sorry guys, in my previous thread, I forgot to fill the subject. So here is a regular one.
