addon misunderstandings? 2004-04-12 - By Raffaele "ThE_JacO" Fragapane
Back While I tend to prefer XP over win2k for personal use, the networking is the weirdest thing I've ever had the disgrace to deal with. If the difference between the boxes getting the pics and those not getting them is win2k VS winxp it could simply be XP being weird.
If you are referring to the pics just dropping a level down in the directory structure, and not dealing with drives or shares, it's more likely to be a permissions issue.
Something like this happened to me once. You could want to try and, from all the boxes running xp, log into the server and check for those files, if after you've done this the add-on can get the pics just fine then it's a permissions/sharing issue. Don't remember how I got outta it the last time, but it was one of those experiences that make you feel like if you are dealing with the Lewis Carroll of operating systems.
If even that fails you could want to follow the white rabbit.

hmm, you may be right.
im referring to them relative to the spdl. so i assumed if it found the spdl the images would be fine..?
ie: /images/image.bmp
we do have a linux server with samba and a range of win 2000 and xp machines, actually it may just be the xp machines that it isnt working on! oh oh oh, it is...
so is this a mapped drive thing? _sam
