quick questions...

Hi! three quick questions;

1 - Is there a way to set a min distance(starting point) on a spot, just like a
volumic effect?

2 - With this spot. I also want it to be square, so I put a grid with a hole
over it to create this effect....is there a better way to do this?

3- Finaly, with this spot and the grid near my building, the grid create some
FG shadows on it(because I'm using FG in the scene),
   is there a way to get rid of it?

Thanks!
