glow maps 2004-04-05 - By Benjamin Huber
Back this is probably a duh-question, but i haven't been able to figure this out on my own...
i'm a recent maya switchover and i can't find anything similar to shader glow from maya in xsi.
i tried the glow property, but that is applied to objects, and it seems that there is no way to use it to only have certain areas of a surface glow, as opposed to the whole object. is there a way to generate texture-based glows? or do i have to generate separate geometry for the pieces of an object i want to glow?
thanks,
-ben
