Fighting with the same stuff!
I ihave a voluemtric light which works ok. I Force shadows, or active
shadshaows in the light and the volumetric effect dissapears. I tried
deleting one by one ALL the objects in the scene until only the light was
there, but the volumetric effect never appeared until I deactivated the
"Force Shadow"
Couldn't find an answer either..
