Revision systems for Windows... 2004-04-02 - By Raffaele Scaduto-Medola
Back Hi Jerry,
I was thinking about plain files. I've been able to segment out in a set of scripts, a character assembly system and generalized library, so that multiple TDs can work on different sections of the rig (by modifying different text files).
Problem is, I'd like a system where I can "user" lock the files so that users could checkout files, when they want to modify the script, and anyone else could still read the file but not overwrite it.
Then once the the first user is done, he would checkin (save over) the existing file, which would let anyone else check out...
Thats the idea... Now I'd like to do this at the OS level, so I am looking for a window app to do this.
