Subject: Adding textures 2003-12-17 - By Simon Kirk
Back I think you might want to look into the layeredTexture node. This allows you to layer textures ontop of each other and set blend modes for each one.

I am getting great textures mapping 2D digital photos through the color attribute, but would like to create additional layers to create more complex textures. What I don't understand is how to create transparency so you can blend multiple textures. Is there a good tutorial on this, or is it a simple process that is eluding me? > >TIA > >-Peter C. > > > >-- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- --- >List-help: <mailto:listar@(protected)?Subject=help> >List-unsubscribe: <http://www.highend3d.com/maya/listserver/> >List-subscribe: <http://www.highend3d.com/maya/listserver/> >List-archive: <http://www.highend3d.com/maya/archive/>
